Birthday countdown

In seven, six, five, four...
In just one week, Andrew is going to be TWO!

Tonight while we were sitting at the table eating dinner, I watched my big little boy determinedly spearing pasta with his fork and tried to imagine him at five, still round-cheeked and sweet; at ten, squeaky-voiced and eager to get back to his video games; at sixteen, surly and possibly bearded — his daddy had a beard at that age! ... Okay, I've just decided: if he does turn out to be hairy like his daddy, the rule is going to be that he has to shave at least until he graduates high school.
